Using biometric authentication

If your device supports biometric authentication, you can turn on biometric authentication for Bria after the first successful log in.

Prerequisites

  • Your device supports biometric authentication, such as a fingerprint sensor
  • You have set up a biometric profile on your Android device

If you do not have biometric authentication set up on your device or if your device does not support biometric authentication, Settings > Preferences – Android OS Support > Use biometric credentials to authenticate does not show.

Enabling biometric authentication

If you enable biometric authentication, any biometric profiles stored on your device can be used to log in to Bria. Do not store profiles other than your own on your device.

Biometric failures

If your biometric log in fails, adjust your fingerprint as necessary or tap Use Password to log in manually.

"Fingerprint not recognized. Please try again." is on "Confirm fingerprint to continue.""Partial fingerprint detected. Please try again." is on "Confirm fingerprint to continue"."Finger moved too fast. Please try again." is on "Confirm fingerprint to continue".

If you have too many failed attempts, you must use your password to log in. The number of failed attempts allowed and the length of time you are locked out from using biometric authentication is determined by the Android OS.

"Too many attempts. Try again later." is on "Confirm fingerprint to continue".
