Deleting instant messages

Availability of this feature depends on the Bria solution you subscribe to.

Available in: Teams.

Not available in: Solo.

You can delete messages in a session, or you can delete an entire session.

If you use Bria on multiple devices, deleting on one device also deletes from all of your devices.

Deleting messages

You can delete one or more messages without losing the entire IM session.

Deleting messages on Bria does not delete them from the other person; they still see the messages even after you deleted them.

  1. Go to the Messaging tab on the resource panel.

  2. Tap IM and tap the IM session.

    IMs are shown in the "People" tab of "Messaging".

  3. Press-and-hold on the message you want to delete.

  4. Tap Delete.

Bria deletes the message. There is not warning before Bria deletes the message.

  3. Press-and-hold one of the messages you want to delete.

  4. Tap More.

  5. Tap all other messages that you want to delete.

    Each message has a selection box.

  6. Tap Delete.

    The "Delete" button is on the press-and-hold "More" menu.

  7. Tap Delete # Messages to confirm you want to delete the selected messages.

    The "Delete # Messages" button is on the delete confirmation.

Bria deletes the selected messages.

  1. Go to the Messaging tab on the resource panel.

  2. Tap IM and tap the IM session.

    IMs are shown in the "People" tab of "Messaging".

  3. Press-and-hold on the message you want to delete.

  4. Tap More.

    "Copy", "Delete", "Foward", and "More" are on the press-and-hold menu.

  5. Tap the messages you want to delete. A check mark shows up beside each selected message.

    Each message has a select box.

  6. Tap Delete.

    The "Delete" button is on the press-and-hold "More" menu.

  7. Tap Delete # Messages to confirm you want to delete the selected messages.

    The "Delete # Messages" button is on the delete confirmation.

Bria deletes the selected messages.

Deleting an IM session

You can remove the entire IM session from your device rather than just deleting individual messages.

  1. Go to the Messaging tab on the resource panel.

  2. Tap IM.

    "IM" is at the top of the "Messaging" tab.

  3. Swipe left on the session you want to delete and tap Delete.

    The "Delete" button is revealed.

The IM session is deleted.
