Chat room members

Availability of this feature depends on the Bria solution you subscribe to.

Available in: Teams.

Not available in: Solo.

Members of a chat room can see who is in the room. Anyone in the chat room can invite new members to a public chat room. The owner of the chat room can add new members to a private room. The room owner can also re-invite members to a private chat room and remove private chat room members.

Seeing who is in a room

As a member of a chat room, you can see who is in the room. Private chat rooms display everyone who is a member of the chat room along with their status. Public chat rooms display the room members that are currently online.

  1. Go to the Messaging tab on the resource panel.

  2. Tap Rooms and tap the chat room.

    The new private chat room is in "Rooms" and in "Messaging".

  3. Tap More Options.

    The "More" button is on the chat room header.

  4. Tap Members.

    "Members" is on the "More" menu.

The members list opens. Each member of the room is displayed with their status.

"Members" displays who is in the room and their status.

  1. Go to the Messaging tab on the resource panel.

  2. Tap Rooms and tap the chat room.

    The chat room is in "Rooms".

  3. Tap More Options.

    The "More" button is in the chat room header.

  4. Tap Members.

    "Members" is on the "More" menu.

The Members list opens. Each member of the room is displayed with their status.

"Members" displays who is in the room and their status.

Adding new members to a private chat room

The room owner can add new members to a private chat room from the Members list. If you are the room owner, you see Settings in the chat room header.

  1. Go to the Messaging tab on the resource panel.

  2. Tap Rooms and tap the chat room.

    The new private chat room is in "Rooms" and in "Messaging".

  3. Tap More Options.

    The "More" button is on the chat room header.

  4. Tap Room Settings.

    "Room Settings" is on the "More" menu.

  5. Tap Add members.

    "Add members" is in "Room Settings".

  6. Tap on the team members you want to add to the chat room. A check mark appears on top of their avatar. Tap Done when you finish selecting team members.

    Members selected for the chat room display a check mark over their avatar.

Bria adds the team member to the chat room.

  1. Go to the Messaging tab on the resource panel.

  2. Tap Rooms and tap the chat room.

    The chat room is in "Rooms".

  3. Tap More Options.

    The "More" button is in the chat room header.

  4. Tap Room Settings.

    "Room Settings" is on the "More" menu.

  5. Tap Add members.

    "Add members" is in "Room Settings".

  6. Tap on the team members you want to add to the chat room. A check mark appears on top of their avatar. Tap Done when you finish selecting team members.

    Members selected for the chat room display a check mark over their avatar.

Bria adds the team member to the chat room.

Re-inviting a member

If the owner of the chat room sends an invitation to someone who is using a version of Bria that does not support chat rooms, the member may not automatically join the chat room. Once they have upgraded their version of Bria, the room owner can re-invite the member.

  1. Go to the Messaging tab on the resource panel.

  2. Tap Rooms and tap the chat room you want to edit.

    The new private chat room is in "Rooms" and in "Messaging".

  3. Tap More Options.

    The "More" button is on the chat room header.

  4. Tap Room Settings.

    "Room Settings" is on the "More" menu.

  5. Tap Members.

    "Members" is in "Room Settings".

  6. Tap More Options for the room member you want to re-invite.

    The "More Options" button is beside the room member.

  7. Tap Resend Invitation.

    "Resend Invitation" is in "More Options" for the room member.

The member you re-invited is automatically added to the room.

  1. Go to the Messaging tab on the resource panel.

    The chat room is in "Rooms".

  3. Tap More Options.

    The "More" button is in the chat room header.

  4. Tap Room Settings.

    "Room Settings" is on the "More" menu.

  5. Tap Members.

    "Members" is in "Room Settings".

  6. Tap More Options for the room member you want to re-invite.

    The "More Options" button is beside the room member.

  7. Tap Resend invitation.

    "Resend Invitation" is on "More Options" for the room member.

The member you re-invited is automatically added to the room.
