Sending instant messages

Availability of this feature depends on the Bria solution you subscribe to.

Available in: Teams.

Not available in: Solo.

You can send an instant message (IM) to a team member.

Using messaging

You can use the Messaging tab to send an IM to a team member or to send an IM to a member of a chat room. You can also reply to a IM using Quick Responses.

  1. Go to the Messaging tab on the resource panel.

  2. Tap IM and tap Add.

    The "Add" button is on the "Messaging" tab.

  3. Tap a team member or type a name and tap a team member.

    Your contacts are in the list.

  4. Type your message in Compose Message and tap Send.

    Type your message in "Compose Message".

Bria sends the IM.

  1. Go to the Messaging tab on the resource panel.

  2. Tap IM and tap Add Message.

    The "New Message" button is in "Messaging".

  3. Tap a team member or type a name and tap a team member.

    Your contacts appear in a list.

  4. Type your message in Compose Message and tap Send.

    Type your message in "Compose Message".

Bria sends the IM.

  1. Go to the Messaging tab on the resource panel.

  2. Tap Rooms and tap the chat room.

    The new private chat room is in "Rooms" and in "Messaging".

  3. Tap More Options.

    The "More" button is on the chat room header.

  4. Tap Members.

    "Members" is on the "More" menu.

  5. Tap More Options beside the member you want to IM.

    The "More Options" button is beside the room member.

  6. Tap Message.

  7. Type your message in Compose Message and tap Send.

    Type your message in "Compose Message".

Bria sends the IM.

  1. Go to the Messaging tab on the resource panel.

  2. Tap Rooms and tap the chat room.

    The chat room is in "Rooms".

  3. Tap More Options.

    The "More" button is in the chat room header.

  4. Tap Members.

    "Members" is on the "More" menu.

  5. Tap More Options beside the member you want to IM.

    The "More Options" button is beside the room member.

  6. Tap Message.

  7. Type your message in Compose Message and tap Send.

    Type your message in "Compose Message".

Bria sends the IM.

Using Contact details

You can send an IM to a team member directly from Contacts.

  1. Go to the Contacts tab on the resource panel and tap Team.

  2. Select a team member by tapping on the team member or typing their name in the Search bar and tapping the team member.

    Your Buddies are shown in a list.

    Member Details opens.

  3. Tap Send Instant Message.

  4. Type your message in Compose Message and tap Send.

    Type your message in "Compose Message".

Bria sends the IM.

  1. Go to the Contacts tab on the resource panel and tap Team.

  2. Select a team member by tapping on the team member or typing their name in the Search bar and tapping the team member.

    Your contacts appear in a list.

    Buddy Details opens.

  3. Tap Send Instant Message.

    "Send Instant Message" is in Buddy details.

  4. Type your message in Compose Message and tap Send.

    Type your message in "Compose Message".

Bria sends the IM.

  1. Go to the Contacts tab on the resource panel.

  2. Long-press a team member, or tap Search , type a name, and long-press a team member.

    Your Buddies are shown in a list.

  3. Tap Send IM.

    "Send IM" is on the long-press menu.

  4. Type your message in Compose Message and tap Send.

    Type your message in "Compose Message".
